Goods facts: what is checked, what is not, and what is never promised

Seven exhibits on the goods themselves, plus a five-step way to read inspection photos inside the return window.

Exhibits in this drawer

Codes G-01 to G-07. T-05 (the warehouse city) appears here as well, because it lives in a goods article.

What help 89 promises about inspection

Kakobuy provides warehouse inspection evidence. The retained scope is model, style, size and appearance; it does not establish electronic function or authenticity, and sealed retail packs are not opened.

G-01

The free inspection looks at appearance only

The fact
Inspection covers appearance: model, style and size. Only garments, bags, suitcases and shoes are opened. Sealed packs are not opened. For appliances and electronics the inspection does not include authenticity, function or quality.

Help centre article 89 “Inspection rules of purchase service order”.

What it means
Appearance evidence cannot establish authenticity, electronic function or every hidden defect. Compare the actual variant and condition; ask for a specific extra photo when useful.
Check it yourself
Read help article 89, especially the three-line disclaimer.

QC photos: how many, and how to read them

The retained material does not establish a guaranteed count of free intake QC photos. The separate optional parcel-photo service specifies three, and detailed photographs have a listed price.

G-02

An intake QC-photo count is not established here

The fact
The retained official material does not establish a guaranteed number of free intake QC photographs. The separate parcel-photo service specifies three if selected.
Printed where
Checked against the help centre, the tutorial and the services pages.

What it means
Look at the photos actually available. A detailed photo costs CNY 2 in the retained article; describe the exact view or measurement needed.
Check it yourself
Search the help centre for “photo”. If a page tells you a number, ask where it is written.
G-03

Three parcel photos are free if you tick the box

The fact
Free parcel photo service: three photos of the packing before shipping. Not provided unless ticked when you submit the parcel.

What it means
These are parcel-packing photographs, distinct from item QC. They can support an evidence record but do not guarantee a particular image detail or a successful compensation claim.

How to check the QC photos

  1. Match the product to the listing photo: shape, visible colour, allowing for the lighting, hardware, print placement.
  2. Read every label you can see: size tag, care label, box sticker. A wrong size tag is a concrete detail to raise with support.
  3. Look for marks the listing did not show: loose threads, glue, scuffs, uneven stitching on seams that carry weight.
  4. Check the measurement if one was taken. If not, buy one personalised photo of a tape across the chest or insole.
  5. Decide inside the 120-hour window (T-08). Missing the deadline can limit return options; do not assume an extension.

Where the goods can come from

The tutorial names Taobao, Tmall, 1688 and JD in search examples. Try the actual link and verify imported details; an unsupported or unreadable listing may require the manual form. This does not prove every other platform must be entered manually. On 1688, check minimum quantities and the seller’s terms.

The 1688 article adds a wholesale warning: minimum quantities apply and the seller's credit matters more than the price.

G-04

Try the actual import; manual ordering is a fallback

The fact
The tutorial names Taobao, Tmall, 1688 and JD in product-search examples. This does not establish an exhaustive automatic-import list. Try the actual link; an unsupported or unreadable listing may require Fill & Buy.

What it means
Check the imported seller, variant, price and domestic shipping. Manual orders need accurate entered details and can have stricter cancellation/return conditions; do not assume every Weidian link requires manual entry.
Check it yourself
Read help article 4 and open the Fill & Buy form from the top menu.
G-07

A listing can show stock that the seller no longer has

The fact
Kakobuy may report an item as sold out after checking with the seller, because some sellers do not update their online inventory.

2026-10-15 (re-check after 2026-11-14)
What it means
A live listing does not prove current stock. Read the order message and actual refund record if a purchase cannot be completed.

The warehouse city and the gifts in the box

Two facts that are easy to miss because they hide inside articles about something else. The warehouse city is written in an article about seller dispatch times; the rule on seller gifts sits in an inspection article.

T-05

The warehouse is in Xiamen, and transit time depends on where the seller is

The fact
“Kakobuy's warehouse is located at XIAMEN city”. Seller to warehouse: about 1 working day from the Pearl River Delta, about 3 from the Yangtze River Delta, about 7 from other areas.
Printed where
Help centre article 82; the city is repeated in articles 52 and 95. The full street address appears only inside a logged-in account.
Read on
2026-10-15 (re-check after 2026-11-14)
What it means
The city is Xiamen. Geographic examples are planning context, not a seller-specific transit promise; confirm dispatch, tracking and the actual warehouse address in the account.
Check it yourself
Read help article 82; the city appears in the first sentence.
G-06

Seller gifts are packed but not inspected unless you ask

The fact
Seller giveaways belong to you and ship with the order. They are inspected only if you note them on the order, and their quality is never covered by after-sales.
Printed where
Help centre article 77.
Read on
2026-10-10 (re-check after 2027-02-07)
What it means
If a free item matters to you, write it in the order remark. Otherwise it may arrive, or not, without anyone checking.
Check it yourself
Read help article 77.

The authenticity rule

The operator publishes an anti-counterfeiting policy requiring authentic goods and describing account consequences. A catalogue photograph or QC view does not certify authenticity. Read the policy and check the actual goods.

G-05

The anti-counterfeiting policy forbids non-authentic goods

The fact
“Products for sale through (kakobuy.com) must be authentic.” Consequences listed: loss of purchase privileges, funds withheld, disposal of inventory. Reports go to [email protected].
Printed where
Help centre article 125 “Anti-Counterfeiting Policy”.
Read on
2026-10-15 (re-check after 2026-11-14)
What it means
The policy states the operator’s authenticity requirements. A catalogue link or QC image does not certify authenticity; check the actual goods and applicable terms.
Check it yourself
Read help article 125 in full; it is the longest article in the shopping-agent section.
